![]() I am an engaging, energetic & interactive therapist with over 15 years of experience. With empathy and compassion, I help you grow into a healthier human being while using a combination of therapeutic techniques in my practice.
After completing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a Master's of Counseling Degree at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, I received my Board Certification in Counseling and subsequently, my Professional Counseling License (LPC). Since 2005, I have been practicing in Falls Church, Virginia addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship and self-esteem improvement, ADHD, eating disorders, addiction, grief and loss, infertility, pregnancy/ child loss & postpartum depression* (see below), parenting concerns, sexuality (including LGBT), gender identity, relationship crisis and/or infidelity, spirituality/religion and behavioral addictions such as sex, gambling, pornography, Internet, hoarding, overeating, shopping/spending. I am an approved supervisor by the licensing board in the state of Virginia and am available to provide clinical supervision. After many trainings (including the Post-Graduate PPD Training led by Karen Kleiman), educational opportunities and hands on experience, I am recognized as an expert in PMADS (Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders) and featured on DMV PMH Resource Guide & Postpartum VA. I devote a significant portion of my practice to seeing clients who are pregnant and postpartum, as well as those who who have suffered pregnancy and child loss at any stage. I will do my best to see you within 48hrs of first contact, and if I am not able to, I can refer to someone in my practice who will. In 2013, I created Falls Church Wellness Center. FCWC is home to 25 exceptional wellness practitioners including Psychotherapists, Chiropractors, a Naturopathic Doctor, a Physical Therapist, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Reiki Masters, and several Health, Wellness & Nutrition Coaches. We also host an array of Fitness & Movement classes, such as: Yoga, TaiChi/QiGong, Resistance & Strength Training, Meditation, and Guided Imagery. I am an active volunteer with Give An Hour, an organization for mental health clinicians to provide therapy for military personnel and their families. |
